About the Clinic

A clinic for real change.

Momentum Lab — The Human Growth Project

Momentum Lab is a hypnosis clinic built on a single idea: lasting change happens in the subconscious. We help clients across Ontario and throughout Canada quit smoking, dissolve chronic stress, sharpen focus, and build confidence that holds up under real life. Beyond personal change, we work with athletes on sports performance — quieting pre-game nerves, locking in flow states, and rewiring the mental patterns that separate good from elite — and with professionals in sales, dissolving call reluctance, sharpening presence on high-stakes conversations, and building the steady confidence that closes deals.

Every engagement begins with a free consultation. We listen first, design a session plan around your specific outcome, and work in a calm, private setting — in person or online. Most clients see meaningful results within three to five sessions. Group sessions are also available for teams, sports clubs, and small cohorts working on a shared goal — smoking cessation, stress reduction, or performance under pressure.

The Practitioner

Meet Surinder.

Surinder, founder and lead practitioner at Momentum Lab

Surinder is the founder and lead practitioner at Momentum Lab. He has been trained at Hypnosis Training Canada in Burlington, Ontario — one of the country's most respected institutions for professional hypnotherapy.

His approach blends classical hypnotic technique with modern, evidence-informed methods. Every session is direct, respectful, and designed around the outcome you came in for.

The Science & History

A practice with a long lineage.

Hypnosis is one of the oldest documented therapeutic practices. From the sleep temples of ancient Egypt and Greece, to the 18th-century work of Franz Mesmer, to the 19th-century clinical refinements of James Braid — who first coined the term hypnosis — the practice has been studied, debated, and continually rediscovered.

In 1958, the American Medical Association formally recognized hypnosis as a legitimate field of medical study, endorsing its use in clinical and therapeutic settings. The British Medical Association had done the same a few years earlier. Today, hypnotherapy is supported by a growing body of peer-reviewed research for outcomes like smoking cessation, anxiety reduction, pain management, and habit change.

What was once mysterious is now well-understood: hypnosis is a focused, relaxed state in which the subconscious mind becomes more responsive to constructive suggestion. You remain awake. You remain in control. You simply become open enough for real change to take root.
